We have gotten a lot of questions in regards to our virtual recital options and thought I would share with you what we have come up with in more detail! You are all working so hard and I am so proud of each and every one of you for pivoting and making dance still happen for all of these kids.

Option 1: Virtual Recital Via Zoom Recordings

Each student would put on their costume with their hair and makeup done. Each Teacher would record their students doing their choreography and can even "Spotlight" their dancers one at a time so they are full screen. We will then edit the zoom recording with the actual song on our end so the audio quality is better. We can then edit together all of the classes in whatever order you would like and broadcast the show for your kids to watch live on your website via livestream or FB Live. The parents can also download the file after the broadcast. Turn Around time 2-3 Weeks. There is no minimum dancer requirement. If you look at this improv video we made for FLY Dance Competition you can see how to use the spotlight feature around the 38 minute mark.

Option 2: Virtual Recital Via Individual Student Recordings

While this option is a lot more difficult to edit, this may be the option for you. Each student would put on their costume with their hair and makeup done. Their parent would film them doing the dance on their own phone at their home. They would then upload the file to a studio dropbox account and it would be organized by Class. We would then take all of the videos we receive and make a multiscreen of the kids doing the dances with the audio from the class. We can then edit together all of the classes in whatever order you would like and broadcast the show for your kids to watch live on your website via livestream or FB Live. The parents can also download the file after the broadcast. Turn Around time 2-3 Weeks. There is no minimum dancer requirement.

Option 3: Virtual Recital Via Coming To Your Studio To Film in Small Groups

This option would be for when you are allowed to have dancers back in your space but you can not rent a theatre due to not having large crowds. Each class would be scheduled a 15 minute block to come to the studio. We would film the class performing their dance in hair and makeup 2 times. You would then pick which dance you like best and we would use that video to add to the virtual recital. We would schedule these starting mid July since we don't want to schedule a date and have to reschedule since there are a lot of logistics needed for this to happen. You can even have the parents wait outside to limit the number of people in your studio. The dancers would go to Studio "A" to practice the dance for 30 minutes, then come to Studio "B" where we will be filming their dances. You can bring in lights and a backdrop and we can still make this special for them. We can then edit together all of the classes in whatever order you would like and broadcast the show for your kids to watch live on your website via livestream or FB Live. The parents can also download the file after the broadcast. We cover all transportation costs and travel arrangements for us to come to you as we are from Los Angeles. You would not need to worry about any of that. Turn Around time 2-3 Weeks.
